Last night the management of Fiola, a D.C. restaurant near the Capitol on Pennsylvania Ave., NW, permitted a screaming anti-Kavanaugh mob to seize control of its space, driving Sen and Mrs. Ted Cruz from their table and out a restaurant side door.
The restaurant might as well hang a sign in the window, Only Antifa-Approved Diners Welcome. (NOTE: Fiola has since released a statement saying that after staff "diffused the situation," Sen and Mrs. Cruz soon returned to the restaurant to resume their "exceptional" meal.)
What I wanted to point out, however, was the similarity between Debbie Ramirez's "Code of Ethics" (discussed here) and the triumphant if misspelled declaration of Smash Racism DC on posting their mob thuggery.
No--you can't eat in peace--your politics are an attack on all of us.
You're (sic) votes are a death wish. Your votes are hate crimes.
This matches the opening guideline ("Non-Negotiable") of Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence, the non-profit in Boulder, Colorado, where Ramirez is a board member and volunteer.
1. We share a basic understanding that violence against women is systemic;
women are an oppressed group;
and oppression in any form (racism, sexism, heterosexism, classism, cissexism, ageism, ableism etc.) is an act of violence.
Understatement of the age: Political beliefs are not a matter of debate with any of these groups. They seek only our destruction, and by any means necessary.
