Frans Timmermans, whose recent tweet about embracing "diversity" is above, is the No. 2 man person in the unelected, unaccountable, and very powerful European Commission that controls much in the lives of the 500 million people who live in Europe. He is obsessed with enforcing "diversity" on Europe, even as Europe is dying from it.

"Diversity" for "diversity's" sake -- or something else?

In a 2015 essay documenting the fanatical Islamophilia of Timmermans and his fellow European Union officials, Fjordman quoted Timmermans as saying:

The rise of islamophobia is the one of the biggest challenges in Europe. It is a challenge to our vital values, to the core of who we are. Never has our societies’ capacity for openness, for tolerance, for inclusion been more tested than it is today. Diversity is now in some parts of Europe seen as a threat. Diversity comes with challenges. But diversity is humanity’s destiny.

He went on in similarly dictatorial vein:

There is not going to be, even in the remotest places of this planet, a nation that will not see diversity in its future. That’s where humanity is heading.

Wrong. "Humanity" is heading in one direction only, into the West. No churches rise in Saudi Arabia for thousands of newly arrived male Christian migrants; no fish & chips shops dot Libya to tempt masses of British asylees. There are no new baseball franchises in Sudan for the pleasure of undocumented Yanks living in some "Little Witchita" shantytown. No. "Diversity" is a-borning in Europe, also the US, only.

Even in 2015, Timmermans perceived the rising nationalist challenge.

And those politicians trying to sell to their electorates a society that is exclusively composed of people from one culture, are trying to portray a future based on a past that never existed, therefore that future will never be.

"A past that never existed"? Another Big Lie, another manipulation, another trigger for "diversity," the bullet aimed at the head and heart of nationhood and free peoples -- exactly the target of communism and Marxism and other old Kremlin exports, which are now made everywhere from Brussels to Berkeley.

Timmermans went on:

Europe will be diverse, like all other parts of the world will be diverse.

The only question is, how do we deal with that diversity?

And my answer to that is, by ensuring that our values determine how we deal with diversity and not giving up our values to refuse diversity. That will bring us down as a society.

In other words, lie down and die, white people, and not a shot was fired...

Only a lunatic could sincerely believe this same "diversity" was not the death of Europe and the wider West. On the other hand, if Timmermans is laying down law, putting over Party line, entrenching the power-myth, he is something else again. To be sure, he sounds like Soros-funded former Stasi agent Anette Kahane of former East Germany. But he also echoes former Army Chief of Staff Gen. Casey and former Naval Academy commandant Matt Klunder ... and on and on. Marxism uber alles, once again belying the fantasy that the West won the ideological Cold War.

Still, the nagging question: To what end do Timmermans and his elite comrades labor? Is the eradication of indigenous European civilization the endgoal of such new dictators? That eradication, as we witness every day, is the effect of these policies. But ... is that all there is? Is this exercise in cataclysm only about implementing fanatical political theory, weaponzing hatred of the West, white people and/or Christianity? Or, might there be some hidden geopolitical dimension that underlies these hellfires of "PC"?

I don't know the answer. Still, it seems notable, even if not often noted, that for all the talk of "cultural Marxism" and the like that brought this "diversity" movement to sick Western life, the super-poison does not appear to have affected its operational wellspring, the former USSR. This is not to say that Russia is a healthy culture -- it is anything but -- but having widely triumphed in its all-out ideological war on the West throughout the 20th century, Russia itself does not seem to be suffering from the same grievously brain-washing effects. (I say "seem" because I cannot be sure without further study.)  Did they not drink their own poison? (I discuss the measures Stalin took in the 1930s to counteract "cultural Marxism" in the USSR in American Betrayal.) The dearth of freedom in Russia today, for example, seems to be of the old-fashioned, mail-and-fisted, top-down variety -- and, to be sure, it comes down (or kills) but not in name of "diversity." The fight against free speech in the US, by contrast, is increasingly waged in the public square by screeching snowflakes and Soros street fighters, and it is always in the name of "diversity."

This, as discussed here, does not make Russia an ally against "diversity," however. On the contrary I think that not very far underneath it all, Putin, like his endlessly deceptive, dictatorial forbears, is probably still helping to drive "diversity" against us -- or at least capitalizing on it.

Which takes me back to the tool, Timmermans. What more do we know about him?

According to The EUObserver, Timmermans seems to have been an agent of what they call "European integration" for most of his career -- except for those four years when he was posted to the Dutch embassy in Moscow.

Little Frans was born in 1961 in the Dutch city Maastricht, but spent most of his childhood abroad, thanks to his father's work as a diplomat.

At age 11 his family moved to Rome, where he attended an English-language school and learned Italian in the street.

After his parents divorced, Frans returned to the Netherlands with his mother and younger brother. At his high school in the province Limburg, he was one of the smartest kids of the class and his talent for languages became even more apparent.

After studying French literature in Nijmegen (the Netherlands), European law, French literature, and history in Nancy (France), Timmermans began his career at the Dutch ministry of foreign affairs at the department of European integration, a topic which has dominated most part of his career.

On 1 July 1990, Timmermans became second secretary at the Dutch embassy in the Soviet Union.

His Russian was “outstanding”, then-ambassador Joris Vos said in a recent documentary that profiled him.

Timmermans language skill helped him to witness a historic event in Moscow, the August 1991 coup d'etat.

While Boris Yeltsin was climbing a tank outside the parliament of the Russian Federation, the White House, Timmermans “had talked himself inside”, said Vos.

Timmermans spent “two, two and a half days” inside and kept the Dutch embassy informed on what Russians inside the building were saying about the coup.

How interesting that must have been.

Timmermans left the Dutch embassy in Moscow in 1994 and returned to the Netherlands and embarked on a few jobs in and around "European integration." Entering Dutch politics, he was elected to Dutch parliament where in 1998 he became "European affairs spokesperson" for the Labor party and a public cheerleader for European integration, also the gargantuan European Constitution, and, of course, "diversity" -- the whole postmodernist arsenal against nationhood.

And now? Today, perhaps inadvertently (perhaps not) echoing the NYT's Walter Duranty's shameful cover-up of the Ukraine terror famine, Timmermans worries that the "scrambled eggs" are "unscrambling" as nationalism re-invigorates European political life.

No wonder he's upset -- the destruction of nations has been his life's work.

But still I wonder -- on behalf or what or whom?
