On March 19, 2019, James Comey tweeted the message above, harkening to his recent visit to his alma mater for a talk about "integrity and politics" --  as if ... but no, I will not descend into sputtering.

On March 21, 2019, Comey published an op-ed in the New York Times in advance of the release of the Mueller Report. He wrote:

I have no idea whether the special counsel will conclude that Mr. Trump knowingly conspired with the Russians in connection with the 2016 election or that he obstructed justice with the required corrupt intent. I also don’t care.

Come again? If the special counsel were to charge that there existed a conspiracy between the sitting president and the Russian government, the former FBI Director doesn't care? Is that law and order and defending the Constitution speaking? Of course not. It's just James Comey.

Comey goes on to taunt all readers not impervious to facts and able to make sense of statutes (but long nutsy-cuckoo over the non-relevance of reality and law both when it comes to The Clintons, the Anti-Trump Conspiracy and other Deep State obscenities) by lecturing:

The rule of law depends upon fair administration of justice, which is rooted in complete and unbiased investigation.

If I were driving, that is where I would run off the road.

But on to the point of Comey's piece. Regardless of even the worst case scenario still possibly to unfold -- namely, that the special counsel might present evidence proving the president conspired with the Kremlin to win the White House (pure, Russian-sourced disinformation bought and paid for by Hillary and the DNC) -- Comey declares, special-counsel-report-unseen, that he doesn't want Congress to impeach Trump under any circumstances.

Why not?

Because if Mr. Trump were removed from office by Congress, a significant portion of this country would see this as a coup...

And a significant portion of this country would be right. But angry Deplorables are not what the forces of Comey wish to face as they seek to regain the White House in 2020. Behold the point of political pivot in "Trump-Russia." From 2016-2019, "Trump-Russia" was about weakening Trump; for the balance of his term until Election Day, it's about subduing his base. Always, the ends justify the means, which is Comey's creed.

I know this having built an ideological profile of James Comey in my new release, The Red Thread: A Search for Ideological Drivers Inside the Anti-Trump Conspiracy.

Below is an excerpt from my book about Comey's views of "the Christian in politics" -- a political actor sans integrity, sans morality, driven to amass power and establish "justice," which in Comey-speak, is regulated, meted out, restricted and controlled by the government.

And yes, that sounds a lot more like "socialist legality'" than anything resembling US constitutional law.
