I don't know the source, but whatever is happening here, it is a staggering sight to behold. It conveys at the most possibly pseudo-benign that mechanistic collective vibe of Chinese Olympics spectacle-rehearsal. It could well be exactly what the caption says it is -- and, come to think of it, exactly what Chinese Olympics spectacles turn out to have pre-figured -- Operations Lockstep on a gargantuan scale, a new, multidimensional level of the Inferno that godless men have made of our earth.
