Below is a letter from a favorite reader of mine, a patriotic American who is deeply concerned, and with good reason, about the still-unsettled notion that Barack Obama is not an American-born citizen of the United States, and therefore not eligible to become the nation's 44th president. (Atlas Shrugs has been breaking news on this story for months.) What concerns this reader just as much is the media failure to demand adequate proof of citizenship from Obama that would lay the matter to rest (one way or another).

What prompted today's letter is a radio interview conducted recently by "Mike in the Morning" out of Detroit (link below) of a man identifying himelf as Peter Ogego, the Kenyan ambassador the US. At about 12:34 into the interview, in answer to a question about whether Obama's Kenyan birthplace is a good spot to visit, and whether there might one day be a national monument to mark the spot--in Kenya, folks--Ogego responds that it is "already an attraction" and "already well known."

Really?

Dear Diana,

I can't not write to you about this Elephant that no one on the right wants to touch.

This was the last straw for me.  I just heard a taped interview on the Peter Boyles radio show.  The interview was done by two hosts of a Detroit radio talk show, "Mike in the Morning", on WRIF FM 101, on November 5, 2008.  The recording is still up on the WRIF website and Boyles has it up on his site on KHOW.com.

The subject of the interview was the Kenyan ambassador to the United States.  During the interview, the ambassador acknowledged, with some degree of pride, that Barack Obama was born in Kenya;  and that his place of birth is marked as a national tourist attraction.

The Kenyan ambassador has now refused to talk to the media about the election and about his post-election statements regarding Obama's place of birth.

We now have by my last best information 17 separate lawsuits filed in different states, (including a suit by presidential candidate Alan Keyes in California), one of which is lodged in Clarence Thomas' division of the United States Supreme Court, all challenging the Constitutional qualifications of Senator Obama to attain the Office of President.

Phillip Berg has published a taped interview with Obama's paternal grandmother, in which she claims that she was present during his birth in a Mombasa hospital.

Team Obama, by and through his lawyers, refuses to release for inspection the following:

1)  His original birth certificate.  Access is sealed by the Governor of Hawaii.

2)  Admissions/College transcript records from Occidental College.

3)  Admissions/College transcript records from Columbia University.

4)  Admissions/College transcript records from Harvard University.

5)  Records of his editorial writing in the Harvard Law Review.

6)  Medical Records.

7)  Selective Service Registration Records.  (Debbie Schlussel has obtained Obama's Selective Service Registration record.  She has done an investigation, posted on her website, thoroughly demonstrating that the registration is a forgery and a fraud.)

8)  His Illinois State Legislative calendar.

9)  The list of his legal clients from his days of private law practice.

Something is very wrong here.

Rush Limbaugh is silent.  Michelle Malkin is silent.  FoxNews is silent.  The Wall Street Journal is silent.  Laura Ingraham is silent.  CNN is silent.  ABC is silent.  NBC is silent.  CBS is silent.  The major newspapers are silent.  This story is so big, yet no one wants to touch it.

If this man is not a natural born citizen and is sworn in, our Constitution will have been shredded and rendered meaningless.  Obama's got one more hurdle to clear prior to being sworn in - to present his United States Passport to the Clerk of the Senate when the Electoral College vote is certified by the Vice President in December.

Time's running out.
